My business philosophy is the same today as it was when I
started ODA in 1978: give people superior service and excellent quality so they
won’t think about ever going elsewhere. It’s all about working harder, smarter,
and providing more service. It is about anticipating and resolving issues. All
projects require research and planning. There are three major reasons why
interior design projects fail: surprises about time, surprises about money, and
surprises about aesthetics. Our mission is to deliver projects and designs that
are on schedule, on budget and offer the desired aesthetic for the client. We
hold ourselves to this mission and philosophy.
Client referrals and a superior reputation among
the design community have propelled ODA throughout the past 25 years. Having
gained her clients’ trust and confidence, Orsini expanded her internal
operations from New York to Los Angeles increasing the scope of her work to a
national level. The staff of ODA has grown from 3 to 23 with offices in New
York and Los Angeles to accommodate West Coast enterprises. In addition to
private residences, commercial projects encompass resorts, restaurants,
equestrian structures, corporate facilities as well as airplanes and yachts.
ODA has received numerous industry awards for creativity and business
accomplishments, and her work has been published in prestigious publications
including Architectural Digest, Architectural Record, Design Times, Elle Decor,
House Beautiful, House & Garden, Interior Design and Interiors. Susan and her
projects have also been profiled on CNN’s Style with Elsa Klench, CNBC, CNN’s
Business Unusual and Bloomberg Television.
